Termite work starts with an inspection to AS 4349.3, the timber pest inspection standard, so the treatment answers what is actually in the timber rather than a guess. Manly’s older cottages and harbour-side homes hold the damp, shaded subfloors that subterranean termites and white ants look for, and the inspection is where that turns up.
From there, two methods do the real work. A chemical soil barrier of BASF Termidor is applied around and under the building to AS 3660, the termite management standard. It creates a zone termites cannot detect, so they move through it, carry it back and pass it through the colony. In-ground BASF Trelona baiting takes the opposite path: stations around the property draw foraging termites, and the bait is shared through the nest until the colony is gone. A barrier defends the structure; baiting removes the colony. Anthony also carries out standalone termite inspections, pre-purchase timber pest inspections and pre-construction termite management, all under NSW EPA Licence No. 5115417, issued in 2020 with the Timber Pest Control endorsement and verifiable on the NSW EPA public register.
