NEXTGEN Pest Control is Anthony Fryer. He is the owner-operator who answers the phone, inspects the property, and carries out the pest control treatment on every job across Sydney’s Northern Beaches and North Shore. There is no roster of subcontractors and no call centre in between, which is a large part of why NEXTGEN holds a 5.0-star rating across 72 Google reviews. The licensed person who quotes your job is the same one standing under your house or in your kitchen getting it done, and the same one you call if anything needs a second visit.
- Highly trained and certified in leading pest control products, including BASF’s Trelona, Termidor, and Seclira.
- Extensive experience in safely and effectively handling a wide range of pests.

Why Anthony started NEXTGEN Pest Control
Anthony started NEXTGEN Pest Control because he kept seeing the same gap in the industry. Too many of the larger operations lean on rushed, in-and-out treatments that hand the customer a quick fix rather than a lasting result, often without ever explaining what was sprayed or why. He was sure the work could be done better: honest advice, a proper inspection before anything is treated, pricing you can see clearly, and fully compliant treatments that give a homeowner genuine peace of mind. That is still how every job runs today. NEXTGEN is a family-run business based in Cromer, and Anthony has been operating it since 2023. He serves homes and businesses across the Northern Beaches and North Shore, and travels as far as the Hunter Valley when a job calls for it.
Licensed, accredited and fully insured
Pest control is work you cannot easily check after the fact, so the credentials behind it matter. Anthony holds a NSW EPA Pest Management Technician licence, No. 5115417, issued in 2020 and carrying the Timber Pest Control endorsement that covers termite and timber work. The licence is valid to August 2028, and it is verifiable on the NSW EPA public register, so you can confirm it yourself before anyone sets foot on your property. Very few operators put a checkable number in front of you like that. The Timber Pest endorsement also lets Anthony run termite and timber inspections in his own right. It is why NEXTGEN can take a termite job from the first inspection through to the final report without handing it on.
Behind the licence sits the rest of the stack:
- Certificate III in Urban Pest Management, the nationally recognised qualification for the trade.
- BASF accreditation across Termidor, Trelona, Seclira and Selontra, along with Termseal accreditation, so every product used is one Anthony is certified to apply.
- Full public and products liability insurance.
- APVMA-registered products only, applied strictly to their label directions.
- Termite management to AS 3660 and timber pest inspections to AS 4349.3, the Australian Standards for the work, under the NSW Pesticides Act 1999.
Six years of licensed practice sit behind that first inspection.
Environmentally Responsible Pest Control Solutions by NEXTGEN
We use environmentally safe and sustainable pest control solutions.
Our methods are designed to minimise harm to non-target species and ecosystems.
Our treatments are safe for children, pets, and the environment.
We implement long-term pest control strategies to reduce the need for chemical interventions.
The NEXTGEN approach
The name is the method. NEXTGEN blends modern treatment technology with sustainable, eco-friendly practice. It counts on the Northern Beaches, where many homes back onto bushland and reserves and share a fence line with native gardens. Treatments are chosen to be low-toxicity to children, pets and the environment, and Anthony explains what he is using and what to expect before he starts, so nothing about the visit catches you off guard.
No two properties are treated the same way. Anthony tailors the plan to the specific pest and the specific building instead of reaching for a one-size-fits-all spray. The goal is long-term management that lowers the ongoing need for chemical treatment, not a call-out you repeat every few weeks. On residential jobs that often becomes a Year-Round Home Protection Plan, and if pests come back between scheduled visits he returns and re-treats. Bookings run Monday to Saturday, and same-day and emergency jobs are fitted in often, which is exactly what an infestation with a newborn or a food business on the line needs.

What customers say
Four in five customers come back for ongoing work, and close to a third of new bookings arrive by referral from someone who was happy with the last job.
One of those jobs stays with Anthony in particular. A new mother got in touch in an emergency, worried about an infestation in a home with a newborn in it. He responded to her enquiry straight away, rearranged the day’s bookings to reach her, and carried out a thorough treatment while keeping her informed at every step. The infestation was dealt with and she had a safe home for her baby again. She was impressed enough to leave a review, and reviews like hers are how many customers first come across NEXTGEN.
